How do I return an item?

In the unlikely occurrence you need to return your Black Hills safe, you may exchange your item for another one of our safes, or return it for a refund (Black Hills does not cover return shipping and handling) within 30 days of purchase – contingent upon our team’s review to ensure the safe has not been damaged and still contains all original parts and packaging.

In order for Black Hills to accept your return, the safe must be in brand new condition. Black Hills CANNOT accept returns for safes that have been installed, have been placed on rough surfaces that would cause the paint to scratch, or generally if your safe shows wear. In order to receive full credit, Black Hills also requires that all original hardware be returned with the safe, and in all its original packaging.

In order to prevent damage during the return shipping process, all Black Hills returns must be double boxed in their original boxes plus an additional outer carton with packing. It’s imperative that you contact us to review the packaging process so that the safe does not get damaged during return shipping. Safes returned to us that experience damage during return shipping due to insufficient packaging cannot receive credit.

To start the return process, you may do so by calling our Customer Service line at +1 (443) 805-6177. You will be prompted to email a photo of your safe to sale@blackhills.175fz.com to ensure it is still in pristine and working condition. Write “Black Hills Return” in the subject line to begin the return process. Reimbursements will be issued within 14 days of receiving the product back from the customer and confirming the safe’s pristine condition. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please contact customer service for more information on returning an item. Thank you. We do not accept returns on firearms. If a firearm is defective we will assist in the manufacturer warranty repair process.

Cancellation of orders may result in administrative fees.

All non-warranty returns are subject a 15% restocking fee.

We are unable to accept any returns on ammunition due to liability issues.
